Crush on guy at work. We work in a grocery store. If I go there to shop when he’s working, will it be obvious?

So we only work together like twice a week, and each time we do something happens more where I think we’re definitely noticing each other more and more, with more flirting. I’ve been super nice and friendly and complimenting him. But we don’t know each other much at all. It’s hard to establish anything and I eventually want to get his number or social media, but it may take a few more shifts. Would it be obvious if I go in to our store when I’m not working to shop just to see if he’s working and see him and hopefully say hi? Would that be weird? Or should I go for it?

I don’t think it would be obvious or anything if you were to show up at the store, everyone needs groceries. However, I will say the thing you probably don’t wanna hear, and that’s that it may not be the best idea to go after your coworker. Three of my friends who dated someone at work, they did not end well. One of them jumped through hoops to get moved to another department just to try and avoid him. Another stopped eating lunch in the break room and instead out in the car, which really bummed her out. And the last one had an ugly rumor spread about her, which affected her work relationships, and bc her job was a union, she was unjustly fired with no real indication as to why and there was nothing she could do about it. I don’t tell you these things to detour you, but if you do opt to go for him, then definitely be careful and be mindful of the risk💛

I don’t know honestly lol. I’m just shy and like what if he isn’t looking for something, and then I work with him... I’m just nervous I guess? What kind of flirting is appropriate and obvious? I’d take any suggestions

Just try to be around him when you can, smile a lot, look nice, wear perfume, make yourself noticeable and be friendly. If you notice that he is getting closer with you and you get to talk to each other more and become somewhere close to friends, take it a step forward and ask him out or insinuate that you would like to go out on a date and see how he reacts.
Most important is to take it slow and build a friendship-like relationship.
