How should I tell my crush I like him on New Year’s Eve?

I’ve had a crush on my coworker for at least a year now. We’re both 17 and we actually do talk to each other and I feel like going into 2021 I just want to tell him myself that I like him.
He most definitely already knows because one of the guys found out I liked him because I apparently am quite obvious about it, so he’s been saying stuff about it in front of him but I don’t care.
I want to tell him myself that I like him.
I was planning to do it over Snapchat and just text him, or should I video call him and tell him like that? I won’t be with him on nye so I can’t tell him in person.
I also need help coming up with a message because I don’t want to just say I like him, I want to explain that I don’t expect him to do anything about it and how he probably already knows.

I think you should keep it simple 😊 you like him yes? He's cute you probably like his lips 👀🤣 and it seems like he likes you (but even if he has a feeling you like him, he still might be shy, not experienced asking girls out, and is afraid of rejection!) Sooooo. Be bold ! Say something in person! When you guys are both joking and smiling, use that as an opportunity and ask him if he'd like to hang out sometime after work ! I think odds are he'll say yes 😊 but if he doesn't then just keep your head up and remember the right person will come in the right time in the right way !

I saw the first line, and I'll say this: do NOT date a coworker.

Why? Because if you guys end, which you most likely will seeing that you're young, then it will become awkward at work. And that's not very nice. Also, workplace policy might not be okay with it,

If you really wanna tell him, then go ahead, I would personally tell the person face to face for obvious reasons. But again, just don't do date a coworker.

As you already said, he probably knows. And he still didn't do anything about it.

Well yep that’s true.
But at the back of my mind I keep hoping that maybe he does like me.
Everyone at my work thinks he likes me and he has been acting more touchy/flirty with me recently. But he’s also a really shy/awkward guy so my team leader thinks he’s too scared to make the first move. So that’s kinda the thing that gives me hope
