In order to not be too presumptuous I do have to ask. Is he aware that you are dating? Is it an official unmistakable 'We are definitely dating' type scenario? I've noticed that sometimes if you aren't really officially dating, he might still think he's trying to work up the courage to ask you out. He might be thinking your just friends right now, and he's trying to decide if you like him enough to want to be more.

If it is official, like he said "I want to go out on a date with you" and you've been dating with clear intentions for a couple months, you might want to jokingly bring it up. Or next time he's over you can just play this song.

Never, ever, ever wait for a guy to make a move first if you really WANT something to happen. You have to take the wheel. He's probably just shy and awkward and unsure of when to hold your hand, when to do this.. when to do that. Simply take his hand, give him a smile. It'll come routine and like second nature to him after time to hold your hand.
