Should I tell a guy he’s attractive?

So there’s this guy in one of my classes that I’ve only spoken to once briefly in person, but found him to be extremely attractive upon meeting him. It’s just one of those natural attraction moments that leave you thinking about that person. However, this class ends in just few days so I was planning to tell him after that he’s really “handsome/attractive” as a compliment and also as a sign of interest. I barely know him (I don’t have his socials) but I’d like to know him more basically. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to tell him he’s “attractive/ handsome” or if there are other things I could say? He’s just really attractive ( personality wise & physically) and the bold part of me wants to let him know that ! Do guys like that? Does it come off as weird?

That is not a good idea.

The reason is that you will come across as needy and you are definitely playing his game and make this easy for him. You say yourself that you don't really know this guy. What if he is a player or even a toxic person?

Do your homework first and find out anything you can about this person. He may have a criminal record, be an addict or a single parent.

Unless you are 100% certain that you don't risk anything, I would certainly not try to compliment this guy.

Also, think of the worst case scenario. What are you ready to accept and where are your limits. This is very important if you don't want to come out of this adventure with a bruised ego and possibly even more.

Why can't more girls be upfront or straightforward with guys? Unfortunately I will likely always be extremely rare and people argue and say that the feminine is indirect while the masculine is direct

Since you two have the same class. I would suggest that you ask him for help in the class. Invite him over and then make your move. If you are really bold, you can just ask him out.
