How do I get her to relax?

I think this girl in my class likes me and I like her. But when I try to talk to her she gets really nervous and stiff. It always seems like our conversations are difficult. She also sees me waves at me then freezes up and just sort of stares at me. she's an extroverted girl that is always talking and joke around with other people, but around me she suddenly becomes incredibly awkward.

I have a similar problem, except that I’m the nervous girl. I like him but rlly don’t know what to say or do and he seems to really like me… we share similar interests and turns out we’re both kinda nerdy and both like books. He tries to talk to me but we run out of things to say and it ends up really awkward. Before I found out he had a crush on me (which happened because of this jerk who sometimes hangs out around us and our friends to annoy us and literally has no life and is obsessed with bike racing) we sometimes talked and it was nice to talk to someone who shared similar nerdy interests. We currently try to talk to each other but it always ends up awkward especially because I get rlly nervous. We try to talk more and slowly I find myself relaxing. My advice is to try to hang out with her and her friends, find out her interests and find out what you have in common. Over time she will relax and see you as someone she is willing to really trust.

I thought you might like to know that the guy who likes me asked me out to a school dance a little while ago and I said yes. And, even though I was terrified, I did end up dancing with him and relaxed more than I ever have around him and it ended up being the best night of my life. I hope you have had good luck gaining her trust and becoming friends (and hopefully more) :)

Get her to chill with you 1 on 1 and start sharing things about yourself. Insecurities, fears, embarrassing stories. The more she realizes you're just a person, the more she'll ease up around you and feel comfortable.
