What does a guy mean when he says he wants to relax and be himself. If I fit in then cool? Is he after a relationship or fling?

He seemed interested and so was I. it was very sexual at the start. We slept together twice. He was not jumping me like I thought he would when I offered. Eventually, I asked him why is he not willing to come around and spend time with me. He replies that he had other things on like meeting up with friends and building connections. I don't see how he couldn't have done those and also spent time with me as well. I got upset at him and he stopped messaging. I left a message asking can we not be weird by avoiding each other like plague. He responded to my message a few weeks later. He said wants to be able to relax and be himself without drama. I wanted to know where I stand and he was ignoring my messages. He said he's been busy and didn't want to get caught up in drama. I stated that if he's not interested in mingling we can leave it. He replies he's fine with having fun but just didn't want drama. I said I want to be with a person that can satisfy my needs. He said that's fine but he can't deal with the drama. I said it seems our tempo don't match up (because he hasn't been there). We started talking again and eventually, I said since he wasn't interested in me I wanted to stay away from him. He replies that I was the one that cut him off. I said it was him that said he didn't want drama and thus insinuating I was causing drama. He replies that he just wants to relax and be himself and live his life. If I was going to fit in with that then that's cool. I asked but can he meet my needs. He asked why do I think that. I reply because I don't know if he was sexually active. Things became silent on his end and I've messaged him on numerous occasion to try to get him to be straightforward whether he wanted to befriend with benefit or not (even though I really wanted a relationship but I was scared he didn't). I apologised but he still didn't respond. I am curious whether I stuffed up my chance with him and what he meant by his statement. Fling or relationship?

The way he treats you and talks to you sounds like he wants sex but nothing else from it. Don't invest your heart into him. He isn't worth the time.

Seems like he was just in it for sex. A relationship is always going to have its ups and downs so that might be what he meant by drama.
