How do I get my crushes attention?

So, I’ve liked this guy for 2 years. He’s way out of my league (in my eyes). We’ve been getting closer and by that I mean we started talking. I’m too scared and shy for pulling out a move. I’m going insane by the fact that I can’t go a day without a dose of him. I’m so lost I don't know what to do..

He may be equally scared/shy about it too. I think maybe you are going to just have to make the first move. Perhaps suggest something casual like studying together or similar where you can get some one on one time.

That would at least give you the chance to break the ice with a harmless request like studying. Then, you can look for signs he is into you. Who knows? Maybe he will then ask you to do something.

If you start simple, it is unlikely that he will turn you down. That gives you a chance to see if you mesh and have come alone time.

We are both dancers , but no common friends. I’m also scared he might reject me since he has a lot of friends that are girls..

@Unlucky_JaneDoe I know how you feel. I had that same nervous feeling meeting my now fiancé. I was the one to ask him to lunch. I was terrified he would say no. I took the chance and now we are getting married.

The point is that if you don't try, the opportunity may pass you by. Then you will regret the "what if" you did ask and he said yes. You will always wonder. Even if he passes, at least you have some closure and can move on rather than crushing on him.

It seems you have a very strong attraction towards him. For 2 years you have liked him? Surprising that you never made a move till now.

It is good you like him but it is also important to know if he likes you back or not. There are two ways you can get to know this, one is you make a move. Take initiative and if he reciprocates in a positive way then you will know he likes you.

The other way is to come to know via signs, either verbal or non-verbal signs.

One of the reasons why I’m scared is that I’m a year older ( well technically 4 months since His bday’s in Dec and mine’s in Mar.) I’m British but I had to move to my mums native country for personal reasons. Since I didn’t know the language they set me a year back. After I moved schools I met him. One of the reasons why I never made a move is that I’m always getting rejected whether it’s by random people or “friends”. Second one is that he’s too oblivious to notice. I want to talk to him more , but I don’t wanna come of as annoying or clingy. People usually block me after the second conversation so, I’m surprised he’s still talking to me.

A girl I like put her hand on top of mine and since I didn’t pull my hand away, she fully held my hands a few hours later. So if he has his hand out maybe you can try something like that. If he doesn’t like your hand on his and he pulls it away, can he really be upset?

honestly just go for it and get out of your comfort zone and see what happens! You will grow a person stepping out of your comfortzone and perhaps something beautiful wil come from it. If not you learned a valuable lesson and become less shy because of your experience. we all get turned down sometimes by someone who we like. But the more that happens the better you become to except that this is part of the search for a compatible partner

I’m not gonna lie , I agree 100% with you. The problem for me is that I like him A LOT and he doesn’t. No I haven’t asked him, but I don’t wanna brag , but I’m amazing at reading people. It’s one of the curses I have to live with i guess..

I believe you that you're good in reading people. I'm also great in that but you should at least talk to him about it to know 100% certain. It's important to get closure for yourself and to be able to let it go and move on. Now you only suffer from it probably

We may not be incredibly close but I know him well as a person. I wouldn’t say he’s cautious , but completely oblivious. And since he’s oblivious I have a feeling that he doesn’t catch those same feelings. I’m saying that keeping in mind that he has a lot of friends that are girls.
