Should I text him or not? Is he interested?

So me and this guy don't really know each other that well, we saw each other just 3 times because we were in a group of friends , he started to follow me on Instagram after a seeing me for the first time and he started to like some of my IG stories... He also replied to some of them starting a conversation but we didn't really talk a lot becuase we don't know each other really well. A week ago I posted a IG story with the sticker " ask me a question " and he replied to it asking me what do I think him. Since I didn't wanna be too obvious I said that even tho we don't know each other that well he seemed like a good guy and that seemed like a funny guy but we didn't really get see each other anymore. He replied with thanks and a heart and said " we will surely have time to get to know each other better" we talked again but the conversation again didn't go on for long. He still likes some of my IG stories, and since I never like his and I never replied to his stories I am starting to think that maybe I should do something too.. in person he is really nice and we talk with no problem, when we're in group he always walks near me which is something really noticeable because he also tries to start conversations with me by listening to what I'm talking about with others. My friend also said that he said that the first time he saw me ( I was alone and we didn't have a clue about each other) he was about to come and talk to me and hinted about the fact that he wanted to do that because I'm attractive and good looking. Last time even tho we don't really have confidence he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek which is something I didn't expect. Is he interested and should I try to talk with him?
