Movies are a bad idea for a date because unless you plan on making out during the movie (which is not something you should be doing on a first date) you can't do anything that involves being together. It doesn't matter whether you're there alone, with friends, or with a date. From the time the movie starts until the end credits, your attention is focused on the screen and there's no talking. That's why it's a bad idea for a date. Unless you plan on following it up with a nice sit-down dinner where you can talk for a couple of hours at least.
Its an easy way to apply a psychological test to them. To see their reaction to the movie...now...to build an MRI that looks like a salon hair drying and convince her to sit in it...
I would hate the movies on a first date because you barely get to know one another. I prefer playing 20 questions than watching a movie on a first date. (Even though I have never been on a date).
i love the movies for a date its 2 hours of sitting in chemistry and not having to talk and stuff it all up...
it gives you something to talk about if you run into silence

For the reasons you just said. But also because it releases a ton of emotions into us. If it's a comedy, she'll drop her guard and be more easily approachable. If it's a sad movie, she'll want comfort. it's always a win situation.
well. I don't really like movie theater dates. but I love movie dates at my place. that usually involves cuddling and holding each other and being somewhat intimate.
It's an easy choice. Something to enjoy and talk about after. I would say that a first date with only a movie is bad though. Also I'd rather choose something more fun for a date like mini golf. At least I think that's fun. lol
Well, it gives the guy a good 2 hours to "make a move".
It makes the date last longer a & we have a little more to talk about.
I like watching movies and if im tired to hug.
Though i'd rather the sofa or bed than a movie theater witch I guess isn't normally a first date unless your already close.
I think normally it's to relieve the pressure of talking about something.
