We both recall the most basic thing exactly said 2 months ago and I don't interact much in general.

I was at a function about two months back I was talking to the two people that were having it. I saw the two before the previous day, and I talked to the someone there about something unrelated.

But at the function, (I don't know their names and they don't know mine).
The girl gave me something and I told her my vision isn't great, she helped me with it, but I didn't need any real help and my vision isn't that bad that I needed help. This whole interaction was under 3 minutes.

She then said that she had perfect vision. That was it, the full interaction. I then left.
I've seen her around areas we both frequent like the gym and made small talk over the past month. Basic stuff like for a minute or two, only here and there. Maybe 3 times.

Few days ago I ran into her again, I asked her what she studies and then she told me her field.(The field has to have perfect vision for it.)

I said " that's' why you have perfect vision". She stopped right there and repeated it back to me " that's why I have perfect vision", She remembered it exactly. I think she's hot and that's why I remember her saying that. I remembered it as I am mildly interested, that's why. She was clearly shocked that I remembered those details but she clearly remembered saying that to me a full two months ago.

I don't know if she even knows my name. Our interactions are extremely brief. I remembered it as I have mild interest.

Is it the same for her? She perfectly remembered it from 2 months back exactly? She knew exactly what was said, I repeated it exactly, she knew exactly as well what from.

Generally people remember things important to them. I remembered it as I have mild interest and thusly paying attention...

Is it a sign of it being mutual? She knew it perfectly and from that specific interaction from 2 months back.

Well I can add my own situation here, I had a crush on a guy since the end of 2019, and we met 2 times in 2019(after that covid hit and we both returned to our countries), and I do still remember everything he has said to me since that date and I even remember the 'date' of our date and I know when his birthday is, infact i even remember the color of the shirt that he wore for our date. In 2023, we sort of reconnected and dated for some months before our final breakup. And he was quite surprised that I remember a lot about him but he doesn't remember much about me anyway. And he asked me how I remember a lot of stuff about him, to which I replied I just have a good memory, although that's true, I remember everything about him because he's been my crush since 2019, that's the only reason why I remember everything what he said, although I didn't want to let him know that.

Honestly I’d just flat out ask to get to know her more. She’ll say a few more things about herself. Probably about something she likes to do. Then ask her to do that certain thing sometime. The key is to build a foundation. The goal should be to get her comfortable to be herself around you and to bond. Everything else should come naturally or it’s not meant to be.

No, because that would be dishonest and probably much more hurtful than just saying you’re not interested romantically. If I didn’t like a person in that way, I probably wouldn’t say anything unless it was brought up by said person. Throwing “hints” doesn’t really do anything but cause emotional confusion.
