Let's play. How would you react if a person of opposite gender looked into your eyes and didn't break the eye contact?

Some context.

I spent half a day travelling through the city by public transportation (the fastest way of moving in Berlin). Usually, I spend time needed to move from point A to point B on reading. And no, I don't read G@G; I read books.

But today, I did a social experiment. The experiment was mainly meant for me, but it turned out I was testing my co-passengers. I don't feel good in social situations. But decided to lock my eyes with some men I was travelling with. The effect was... surprising for both sides :D

I will describe it later in the update.

So, let's assume you sit on the bus and see a person of the opposite gender (let's say more attractive than not), and you lock your eyes. And this person doesn't break eye contact. What would you do/think/feel?

Please share some details :) And remember, it's a game, so let's play

Promised update (sorry for lousy English), but I have a feeling you expect too much from this humble witch. :D

Just for the record, as I’m a woman, I was testing it on men only. Maybe one of our great men here would do a similar experiment? :D

My findings:
1. Some men would keep an eye contact and smile, if I don't break it.
1.1. Some of them would give up after a while. From this group most would glance once or twice back and flash a smile when seeing me still watching them. (I’m curious what they thought)
1.2. Some would keep up the competition. I like those the most :D

2. Some men would size me up and never look again. I assume I wasn't interesting enough :D
3. Some would break eye contact immediately
3.1. And glance back from time to time
3.2. Show me their back :D
