Should men flirt or ask for girls numbers at the gym?

I have been getting mixed messages about this. I go to the gym often and see girls I wanna ask out but at the same time many people say not to at the gym. This doesn't make sense to me because fitness is important to me in a partner so isn't a gym a great place to ask? And if not then were can a guy who's athletic ask out an athletic girl?

No, what they should do is set up their own gym at home. With the social climate the way it is if you even glance in someone's way they report you and put you on blast on some social media.

I make it a point to AVOID at all costs any gym now. I just built one in my house and couldn't be happier. I no longer have some of the friends I made at the gym my piece of mind means way to much to me.

It's really not a good place to do that. People are usually there to handle their business, not socialize. That said, if you see an opportunity to do so, go ahead. But be judicious about it.

Athletic people also go out too, lol.. they are not always in the gym

what I mean is this... if you see someone very attractive at the gym, and you go straight to flirt and ask numbers... chances are that, many other clueless people do this as well... you don't even know them and also chances they're already in a relationship... or they don't really want to be bothered by flirty and thirsty guys, they just want to get their workout done

at the very least, sense the vibes... get closer, and maybe say hi, and again read the moment, if you feel like they're open to your approach then maybe introduce yourself do some talk, but if they're not into just don't stat flirting and asking for numbers, they have no idea about who you are lmao
