I've recently started this practicum in a lab and met this woman at first we never spoke to each other but we kept on catching eachither looking at one another. At first we would straight up look away from one another when we locked eyes. Then she started to slightly adjust her gaze to the side of me when ever I saw her looking. A week later I spaced out in her direction really hard once and she scooted out the way I thought that I had made her feel terrible uncomfortable that she would never speak to me at which point she had not. Since then I've tried really hard not to look at her. But more recently as I was doing one of my activities around the lab I just happened to just look randomly in her direction and noticed she was looking at my crotch and she just slightly adjust her gaze to the side of me.
( pretending she was not looking at me) Slightly before after and during this time. she has initiated conversations with me, she even offered that I could practice my venipuncture (drawing blood) on her of course I had not asked her/ spoke to her before this because I am so nervous to talk to her.
(obviously I like her). I'm just wondering does she like me to or is this common behavior and am I reading to much into basically nothing. by the way she like ten years older than me. And it is a small lab maybe it just happens to be spacing out in my direction and is adjusting her gaze out of politeness? I just find it highly coincidental that she is spacing out in my direction. She isn't smiling when I catch her but her face does kinda change when she sees that I see her looking at me like you didn't catch looking at you face or I'm not looking at you. it's hard to convey her facial expression through just text. Her face does look kinda blank when I see her looking at me. But as someone who is notorus for have a blank face and acts reserved I do feel strong emotions all the time maybe she's the same?
