Have you ever been someone's crush? How did you realize it and how did you deal with it?

After a couple of years, i realized that a girl i knew in college had a huge crush on me, i guess i was too dense to realize it then 🤷🏻 but then again, i had my sights set on someone else at the time.

In my eyes the person who had a crush on me was just trying to be friendly, but we never explicitly told each other that we want to be "just friends".

Our contact fell off, but I'm wondering if i should contact her and discuss it, should i somehow apologize? Could i have hurt her feelings by not realizing?

To my knowledge, only much younger girls. Children don’t hide their affections the way adolescents and adults do. It’s kinda cute, but there’s that pervasive societal intonation that men are creeps if they are affectionate with children, especially children who aren’t their own. So i had to be cold and distant with those poor girls and it sucked for both of us.

Maybe. I’ve been in a similar situation. I always go by the idea that if it feels right and it’s not harmful to anyone, go with it. Follow your gut feeling. Be clear about what you want when you approach her. Do you fancy her, or do you miss her friendship?
