Girlfriend thinks I want her to be submissive?

Why does my girlfriend always turn a simple request into a "you just want me to be totally submissive" thing. I'm far some a maschionist and I find it insulting when she implies it.

Well next time she asks you to do something tell her to do it herself. I hate when people assume that because you're doing them a favor you're submissive or easy to walk all over. No one should take kindness for weakness.

I even tried to compromise and tell her to use the gps app with voice guidance. That why she can get directions at the same time make sure I don't get my car taking away. Well, she took issue with that saying "GPS is annoying. I don't want to use that."

I think you have to be very direct with her. Tell her that you don't have a problem with helping her sometimes but her attitude is very immature and sometimes it makes you not want to do anything for her. If she gets mad at you because of that well she has issues, it's her not you.

HHmm.. maybe she feels like being more independent, wants her space kind of thing? So when you try to help her, she thinks you're trying to tell her she's incapable or something like that.

To stop doing things that are annoying. For instance, she's very impatience, stubborn, and has a really bad attitude at time. This can he very annoying and she admits she does but she says that it's just who she is. I also tell her stuff because I love her but she just won't listen. It also has to do with not listen when its going to effect me. What do I mean? Well, the other day was my birthday and she wanted to drive me somewhere special. Driving me car and she needed to use gps to get there and didn't want me to know where she was taking so shed look down at her phone several times. Well, in Cali we have laws against being on your phone while your driving and driving without auto insurance, which I didn't have at the time. I told her this and she continued to do so eventhough I told her if the cops pull us over I'd get my car taking away. That's what I mean. That there to her was a "oh, you're trying to control me" thing to her.
