Girls do you like when a guy compliments you on your clothing?

Sometimes I think of doing that my I assume the girl would rather want me to compliment on something else, like a physically trait, or that they will assume I'm hinting at something else? So,girls what do you think?

I always assumed that if a guy complimented a girl on her clothing she would assume that he is less manly or gay.

What if a you got complimented on something you do not wear a lot? Would it make you wear it more often?

I love it when my best guy friends compliment me on my clothes. I am a tomboy so I mostly wear buy shorts and t-shirts. They always say I look good no matter what I wear. I don't think it makes a guy look gay at all if he compliments a girl on her clothing. But I also love when guys compliment me on my attitude. When they say they love that I'm one of the guys or that I love playing video games with them on Friday nights.

Love it, it's always interesting to me lol. Some how I view them as gutsy for saying something. A compliment on any piece of clothing is fine to me.

I haven't seen many men compliment a girl on a particular piece of clothing, it's usually just the general outlook like you look sexy, beautiful, etc. I love knowing that he has the same taste in clothing I have in terms of what looks good. It just seems daring to let a girl know that. Not afraid to tell someone what he likes, that sort of thing. Knowing his style/preferences and is comfortable enough to state them. It's kind of sexy tbh. :)

Nah, I like to alternate my stuff and have a good idea of what styles suit my body. Weather/season play a bigger part in deciding what I wear than compliments. I'd get compliments from others wearing different things, I know their taste aswell so I can already tell what they might compliment me on. Anyway because we all have our particular taste, it wouldn't make sense for me to change mine/wear one type more often just because I've received a compliment. I dress for myself, but I

I appreciate it. I think men aren't as aware, or likely to compliment on your clothes, so it makes you feel better if they do make a compliment.

The only male who compliments my clothes is my boyfriend. Occasionally another male friend does though, but the rest just ignore.
