First of all, not all women receive lots of compliments. Ask me when the last time a guy complimented me; it's been a while to say the least :|

The last time I complimented a guy was last week: I told a guy I work with how thoughtful and sweet he was because he bought his wife some flowers. She was having a bad day at work, and without missing a beat, he called up a flower shop and ordered some flowers for her to be delivered to her job.

I told him he's a good man and she's lucky :)
Yes, he's married; doesn't matter. I compliment anyone if I think they're a good person or look nice.

well obviously not all women lol. but yeah generally it is true guys get wayy less compliments then women do especially on their appearance

Oh I agree with you, and that's kind of sad.
I know men like compliments just as much as women.
I just don't want all the men on here to think that us women are so blessed, we get compliments every single day... trust me, some of us can definitely empathize with the men, haha

Because of the lockdown I haven't been able to socialise much beside work and school. I haven't really had the chance to complement anyone let alone guys while spending the majority of my time at home. Typically I do compliment people a lot, especially friends and this includes guys.

I think the last compliment I received from a woman was probably a few months ago - I think a woman liked a pin I was wearing. Before that, it’s been years… like try a decade.


Dude complimented me last week… once I figured out what’s going on with work, I’d probably take off.


I wish I got them more. Especially now, because I’m getting some real pettiness from family - nearly constant insults. I’m a lazy, stupid piece of crap. All that. And it’s picked up. And I’m drained.

That's one of the very first things I loved about my partner she is generous and sincere with compliments. Something she likes? she tells you. Happens again? tells you again.

It can give the wrong idea sometimes so she doesn't compliment strangers very often, but I know every Monday she compliments at least 1 random dude (& Wednesday is woman day lol). I've been trying to do it too recently. My social skills kinda dropped during covid, but it's getting funner.

I believe everyone should get compliments, regardless of sex.

Now, those compliments must be deserved, but idc the sex or gender of whoever earns it - they deserve a compliment.

I compliment my partner multiple times everyday, anyone other then him probably just every great now and then if I see reason to, bit I don't socialize much so I rarely compliment girls either.
