My friend ignores me around her boyfriend, is this right?

I attended with my best friend wedding reception. We both knew only bride.

She went with her boyfriend, I was alone because my boyfriend was abroad and I didn't want to go with other boy.

We 3 were sitting near but my friend completely ignored me, she was talking only with her boyfriend , I tried to talk but she turned to his boyfriend and showed me her back.

She often went out with him didn't asking me if I want too , behaved like I don't exist.

There were only couples and elder than me so I couldn't find common ground with them. And felt kinda lonely

When her boyfriend broke up with her few days after this wedding she came to me , I helped her and listened her cries..

do you think this was right behavior or not? I would like to know what others think?

She sounds very selfish.Of course its not a right behavior.She still can talk to you when her boyfriend is around.Her boyfriend isn't an excuse to ignore you.Sounds like she doesn't think you are her friend.She only come to you when she is having trouble or something.I had one friend like this before and I told her directly how I felt.I am very blunt person.I told her that if she is going to treat me like that again,don't expect me to hang around with her or if she wants to,make sure her boyfriend isn't around if I am around.Now,whenever we hang out together her boyfriend isn't going to be with us.Good for me and her.

Her behavior isn't considerate behavior. If you were just a friend then I can still understand but because she is your best friend she is supposed to also at least keep you mind. I don't think that's very nice and I wouldn't do that in a similar situation. Just put it behind you though and move forward. People do slip up and you do get people in life who just aren't considerate people. That's their nature. If it happens again and it truly does bother you then I'd have a word. Perhaps she doesn't even realize she's being a bit hurtful towards you.

The operating word is "selfish." You should tell her it's a problem and give her examples. It will be a bigger problem later in life.
