Girls and playful teasing?

I'm curious to know how many people reading this use playful teasing as a form of flirting. I like to use it and personally I only use it with the girl I'm interested in. I may use it with others but its not constant. This girl responds the same way and the dynamic we have is just awesome and I don't see her doing that to anybody else and I can tell she is just having a blast because of her big smile and constant giggling. While I may start it sometimes, she starts it the bulk of the time, so I wonder if you are usually a nice and respectful person, what makes you react this way and tease people, call them names and be all sarcastic with them?

I know men do this to show girls they like them...but I'm a sensitive person and I don't like it when a guy teases me. I think sometimes men don't know if they are going to far or not and I have had men say things to me that they thought were funny and they just pissed me off and we had a misunderstanding. So if you like a girl, I say just be a man and ask her out and don't tease her because not every girl will think it's flirting. Even if you think it's playful.

Well, even though its my favorite kind of flirting, I don't start like that right off the bat. She was the one who started teasing me and she usually teases me heavily all the time. I do tease her a bit but its mostly just trying to annoy her and not "insulting" her. I want to ask her out but you know how it is. If she doesn't feel the same or whatever, she is going to stop talking to me and being playful and then I'll be all awkward, that's what I dread about asking her out :/

Well you don't have to be direct about it. You can test the waters by saying..."you know what, you're so much fun...we should do something some time" and if she doesn't respond, you got your answer and just save face by ending the sentence "I meant as friends". But if she's cool with what you said earlier, then you got a date :D
