Girl put her hand in my face - Am I in the wrong?

If someone put their hand in your face and intentionally keeps it there and you push them/the hand away and that turns into a fight are you the one in the wrong?

This girl that has been trying to get to me from day one and I don't even know why I never did anything to her! Has been trying to put me down and insult me whenever I come around. So I leave and take the high road. I asked her what's her problem and she sticks her nose in the air (literally) and says she doesn't have one. Fine. Then when I was talking to this other girl (a mutual friend) she comes up and smiles in my face. I didn't say anything to her then she turns her back to me and puts her hand in my face and I swear I pushed her like 20 feet.

I was furious. Was I in the wrong? She didn't touch me but her hand was VERY close to my face I mean I could see the dirt in her nails. What would you have done? & don't say kill I mean realistically.

haha no it wasn't your fault, she started it, everyone knows if there is tensions between two people and one puts their hands on the other its fighting time. doesn't matter if she touched your face or shoved you, she shouldn't have touched you end of story. But if I were and your situation I would have told her touch me again and you will lose your hand, if she touched me again then she has been warned.

Yes, you were wrong. She didn't touch you. You need to keep your hands & feet to yourself. It doesn't matter that she annoyed you, that's not right or fair. But who ever said life is fair? Be an adult & deal with it. Use your words to express yourself, not your hands. That's what children & idiots who can't put 2 words together do.

All this time I didn't say one word to slight her and she's clearly taking it for weakness.

So when she goes as far as to put herself in threatening area of me that's way out of line. She wasn't annoying me she was basically bullying me. Since she's not getting the hint of leaving me alone & me telling her.
