Parents and spending the night at your girlfriends house

My girlfriend lives about 40 minutes away from me. If there is traffic it can take over an hour to get there. I am often there until late at night and would rather just spend the night at her place, instead of driving back tired in the middle of the night and being at risk of driving while being too tired. The problem is that I still live with my parents, so they are well aware of how late I am gone. So I want to know if I should ask/tell my parents I am just going to stay over at her place. My parents are fairly conservative, and I'm not sure how well they would take me asking. But I come back from her place at 4 in the morning sometimes, so it's not like they don't have some idea of why I am there so late. So should I ask them or just keep things the way they are?

I feel like they're almost baiting me. I just told my dad I was going to sleep because I'm tired, and he makes some comment about me staying out really late with my girlfriend. I really wish they would just get off my ass about it. I'm an adult and a very responsible one at that.

Nah, just tell them. Of course they still need to know where you're gonna be but you don't need to ask for permission, you're an adult. I remember the first time I stayed at my boyfriend's place my mom kind of freaked out and she was all like "OMG you're gonna have sex with him, blah blah" (I actually did not, lol), but when I came home alive and well in the morning it was all okay.

So just tell them straight up.

Just respectfully let them know I'm staying the night as _____house tonight. :) good luck. I know it is nerve racking, it took my mom a while to be OK with me staying over at my mans.

Dont ask, tell them you're gonna stay over at So- and So's place tonight and you'll catch up with them in the morning I mean your age does say 18-24 so you're a grown man .

1. Driving while being to tired... Highly doubt that. We know you just want an excuse to stay.

2. Why do you have to ASK your parents if you can stay at her place? If they say don't come home between the hours of like 3-6am that's one thing

Umm you've seriously never been tired driving? It's worse than driving while drunk, I literally am falling asleep at points while driving home. Sure I'd like to stay just to be with her, but this is mostly for safety reasons. I have plenty of time to have sex while I am over there.
