Was I too aggressive by approaching my crush?

I'm in university, and this guy that I recently met has been showing signs of interest... like can see out of the corner of my eye that he is sneaking looks at me, and he seems to pack up slowly after class so he can talk to me, plus he remembers a lot of things that I say. I'd consider those signs of attraction, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, I like him too, by the way! Anyways, today I didn't see him in lecture for some reason... and I was kind of sad because I was looking forward to talking to him. Luckily, after class I saw him sitting at a table outside with a group of his friends. I figured that would've been my only chance to talk to him today so I went up, said hi, and sat down with them.

He responded well... he opened up his body language to "include" me to the table, and again I saw him sneak looks, even though I was sitting right next to him.

Anyways, I'm worried that by being so bold, I may have been to easy or overbearing... :S

No; someone has to make the firstt move.and these days, guys don';t think it has to be them all the time.

Good for you. And this was a natural way to show interest, just chatting with a group, it doesn't single him out so he doesn't feel put on the spot; he didn't have to make any decisions about you,

Also, , he could see how you are in a group of people. Not to mention looking you over close up without having to be obvious abvout it.
