Being annoying as a way of flirting?

I've seen lots of cases where guys intentionally annoy girls and push their buttons as a way to flirt with them. Of course, this assumes that the woman is already somewhat interested in him and she's gained their trust as respect.

But some guys would snatch their phone as a joke, tease them, annoy them by saying things they don't like, or just pretend to be an a**hole or troll. And the women laugh and are like "AHHH STOP IT" with a smile.

Does most women like this kind of flirting or only very few?

btw, there is a difference between being flirty-annoying and annoying-annoying. if she really doesn't like it, stop it. but if she's having a blast, go for it.

basically, you only do it a little. sometimes. you know your limits and you never cross them. you stop if she's ACTUALLY annoyed. there's a line between teasing and actually being a bully or a jerk. don't cross it.

I see this a lot too, it is childish and immature flirting.. maybe a little of it is OK but if that is your main technique to "seduce" her well then that is just lame and chances are she will get bored and think "is this how he will be during the whole relationship(always teasing/never serious)?" basically there needs to be balance. I think guys will do this when they are afraid of being serious and exposing true feelings...

oh and like other girls have said, it can turn into bullying, or come across as that way... its best to be direct and don't play games.

yeah, there's limits. like a little is okay (to test your boundaries) but too much is immature.

I think it's childish and I often 'tease back' just because I don't want to be a bitch (the guys are really sweet) or simply don't know how to react, but hardly ever to flirt. There's this one guy and he keeps teasing me, though I never know whether he actually likes me, just likes flirting or is trying to be friendly. I always assume it's the last one, so I just tease back (harmless anyway), but then again I might give him the wrong impression..

So when it all comes to and end I think it's confusing and childish.

Ha ha this SO sounds like my situation! I've got a guy from work who has been doing this to me for the last 3 years! I'm sure he sees it as teasing, maybe he isn't even aware he does it, but more often than not he can be really annoying with it. Sometimes its over kill. But I've grown to love it and to love him because I know he does it because he likes me.

I guess it depends on the girl, some girls fight back, like me, and others think is is just as you state- annoying. I personally like it to an extent but it can get out fo hand.

F*** no. I've been bullied a lot before so any guy trying to "push my buttons", even just to flirt, will get no positive reaction from me whatsoever. I'm more likely to think he's a moron trying to intimidate me, and that'll make me want to kick his ass big time, if not ignore him until the end of times.

I agree with this, this one guy did this to me I didn't even know him which is different in your case but it made me think this guys annoying me to make himself look good. I realized later in that he might have found me attractive cos I often caught him staring and through gag I realized when a guy teases u, he most probably likes u.

I have this happen to me a lot by guys when they like me, it's like their go to way of doing things. It's because they're nervous and not sure how to make me laugh, but in my particular case it works like a charm because I do find it funny.
