I text a girl from work for a year and we made out but there was never anything serious. I wasn't particularly looking for a relationship and her ex treated her like dirt, her family hated him and she wasn't ready for a relationship. However one day I noticed how strong her feelings for me actually were and she kind of went distant for a few days. Then i realised how much i cared for her, we talked and began dating and hanging out all of the time.
She told her friends about me, told me her dad would like me etc. On one date she dropped her guard completely, things were very personal and cute, however i became worried as we felt like a couple and i didn't know if i was ready for that so soon. She became stressed at work and as friends i would try cheer her up or joke but i just made things worse. While my intentions were as a friend, she seemed to take them as a suffocating lover. Id ask her to hang out which she began to take as clingy and when i got annoyed with her change of attitude she called me whiney. It all fell apart. She didn't want to look at me, talk to me, touch me and told her friend she's finished with me.
I was upset but took a step back. We slowly began to chat at work, then we started texting and she text well into the early morning, responds quickly, sent selfies and kept convo, all of which she didn't do for 2 months. This week she has been the one initating contact at work, her eyes light up when we speak, she goes out of her way to talk and joke w me and has even started to tease me, however all flirting and attempts to hang out have been rejected. Yesterday she gave me a lift home from work and while it was fun, the mood dropped at my drive. When she would drop me home we'd normally kiss, however last time (month ago) she said she didn't want one so it was awkward. I just thanked her because i dunno if she wanted one, she seemed awkward. My question is, has she just moved on, or is she slowly opening back up and giving it a second chance?
