Why do young women hit on me?

Ok. not going to brag about myself or post a pic my question is legit. I'm 30 and have always tried to be as ripped as possible I have worked out for a long time but not super muscular or something. I prefer older women because they mostly can ring the top for me but lately I have been getting hit on by like teens and early twenties (u know like bank tellers, and young cashiers) I know what is going on but I'm like is this normal? what are the percentages that they want a sugar daddy or an older lover?i'm I a prude or "normal" for acting shocked? like for example the last one I was standing in line at staples and the chick was all like can I ask you a question so I replied yes ( I though she was going to ask about a rewards card or something) then she's like do you have any kids? a girlfriend? so looked at her with this shocked and confused expression and that got her all excited and sh*t like what's up with the face? blah blah I couldn't say anything because the whole line was waiting but I'm like is this a kick to her? is she just being friendly or strait up hitting on me? I guess experience plays a role but they seem to do it when I'm about to leave. also does everyone find it shocking that a good looking stranger is all over their personal space? maybe I'm too paranoid I don't know but sometimes they come across so fast and crazy that I feel like I'm gonna have a nervous break down instead of relaxing and enjoy

Thirty isn't old. If it was, my boyfriend would be robbing the cradle with me being 7 years younger lol. I certainly don't view him as a "sugar daddy" or "older lover" either. It feels like we're on the same level.

I've always dated older men...I'm just more attracted to them. By that I mean max of 10 years older than me. It mostly started in college when I wanted a relationship while the majority of guys my age weren't interested in anything serious.

There's no guidelines on what age a person should date, but if you're uncomfortable with younger women hitting on you, there's no need to reciprocate.

In response to your specific question about the clerk hitting on you, that does seem awfully forward. It very well could be the fact that they're young, too (meaning teens/college age). Girls hit on my boyfriend often and don't seem to have much regard for the fact that he's in a relationship and/or doesn't want to be hit on...which may also be because they're young.

k feel better now. awfully forward seems like it; I've been asked if I have a girlfriend before and stuff but children? that was a new one for me. when I heard it I got this automatic nasty adrenaline rush that I wanted to run out the door and almost started to shake as I was swiping my card like hooooly sh*t. each time I speak to my friends we always get into the men talk like oh real men are like this and like so I thought I had a problem lol

Maybe they find you attractive, your personality stimulating, and want to date you?

Maybe they want to harvest your organs to sell on the black market?

Maybe they think you have money and want to be spoiled?

They could all have their own individual reasons, or the same reason. Either way, you and I won't know until you actually invested time into them to see what their intentions are.

BTW 30 is hardly old. That's not even considered middle aged anymore.

30 is not old. you may look younger than other 30-year-old guys. I'm 24 and I would go for a 30-year-old guy. The teenagers are maybe sluts looking for older guys who are more experienced and can get them stuff.

I think it only bothers you because you prefer older women, so you don't like younger girls. If you did, I think you'd enjoy the attention.

Maybe but its not just that older women come in super smooth and the transitions in convos are also super smooth and before I know it I'm where I want to be and relaxed. These youngsters come across in ways I cannot elaborate like "hitting on a stranger in the register line? what did she expect?

well, older women have more experience, that's why they're "super smooth". The younger girls (myself included) still need practice and learns through trial and error. Just think of it as they're learning how to do it correctly and you happen to be one of the practice subjects =D

Could also be that the younger girls are so nervous that they take their time thinking of what to say, analyzing the situation, analyzing you..When they realized you're soon leaving, they hurry up to not lose the chance

I'm 37. I get flirted with more by early 20's women now then I did when I was in my 20's.

I'm not sure if this is true of many guys, or just some of us maybe came into our own later. I think some of us have the qualities that women who like older guys are looking for, so we're more in demand among those sorts of girls.

I would say that thirty is not old. I am only twenty and I find some sixty year old men attractive. Do I want their money or whatever else they may have? NO! I would rather know what it was like with a mature older man who is not going to finish in two minutes in bed. Besides which I do not need a man's money, because I fully intend on making my own when I finish my education. Take it as a compliment that younger girls are hitting on you and if they are 20 or older I would say go for it. But someone who is still a teen "18, 19" I would say is a little odd. If you have kids however, unless the girl is really into kids, you can either expect that she does not want anything serious with you or once she finds out she will run the other way. Being that I am twenty I would have a more stable relationship with someone in their thirties, easily. I think it all depends on the maturity of both individuals.

I'm 22 and I have dated a 32yr old and a 31 year old. I look for older guys because I know they are ready to settle down and actually that's really what I'm ready for. They both had 2-3 kids but for the most part they were also really mature and like that. Guys my age are really immature and not ready to settle down for at least another 5 years and I'm not interested in waiting for something serious for 5 years so yes young girls do look for older guys
