Take into account their media personality, TV shows, recipes, restaurants, social campaigns etc
I love Jamie. He's such a good lad. Sweet, quirky, funny, cheerful, relaxed and down-to-earth... the personification of the typical English boy. If cooking was music, he'd be the Beatles.
On a culinary level, I like his recipes and style of cooking a lot. I like the international and particularly Asian touch in his dishes. I also like the fact that they're unpretentious and perfect for guys like me who love to cook but don't have any formal cooking education. My wife and I own several of his books and the recipes are generally easy to understand.
Gordon Ramsey... well, he's quite a special man. I think he actually has a very kind, sweet side but he rarely shows it. He's much more arrogant and aggressive than Jamie... and sometimes he's just a complete prick. But I do have a lot of respect for him as a professional chef in the haut cuisine. Surviving at the very top for so long is by no means self-understanding. It takes a ton (a shitload as Gordon would say) of effort. This guy probably sleeps about 5 hours a night on average... that wouldn't be cup of tea.
And I have to say I really loved his Masterchef shows. Also, when you watch the British and the American versions of his shows (such as Kitchen Nightmares), you can see a gigantic difference. The American version is always SO much more trashy, sensationalist, hectic, loud etc.. They're basically a collage of screaming and fighting scenes. The British versions are much more enjoyable.
The only thing I ever watch on TV is college football and election returns. I have an idea that I have seen Gordon Ramsay for maybe 5 minutes once, but I have no idea who the other guy is. He last time that I watched a chef on TV, it was Giada DeLaurentiis, and I would marry her in an instant if she had a thing for older men! :) :) :)
you dog ;)
Arf arf !!!
I like Jamie, he's an advocate for putting healthier food in school for children. His recipes are simple for the average person, uses fresh ingredients. While I don't mind Gordon, his antics are entertaining but I'm not down to watch a show that consists of everyone getting yelled at, but I have seen how kind and encouraging he is towards children.
I'm agree.
Jamie hands down. Besides me hating people who swear and seeing them as hicks with a really tiny vocabulary and an anger issue, Gordon has a terrible attitude overall sometimes.
Other times I love him - when he's cooking at home and is just a normal guy who loves food...
Just like Jamie.
Agree.
I like Jamie more
I would watch Gordon Ramsey mostly because he roast people too
why do you like Jamie more?
He is more natural and calm dude and I like his style "don't care about shits " style of cooking

I pick Jamie. I like his Christmas cooking episodes. Ramsay is just entertaining to watch thats all. I like to actually watch someone cook something and not just yell at people
Haha, i worked for Gordon so i’m going to be completely bias. He’s a man to truly aspire to be (and yes he puts on a complete front for the American TV audience which likes its characters larger than life).
Jamie Oliver is a TV presenter not a chef.
who is the latter a presenter not a chef?
His cooking background consists of working in a single chain restaurant, as a sous chef, which is basically 2nd or 3rd in charge.
Ramsay has worked under Marco-pierre White, Albert Roux (and several others i can’t pull off my head) trained in both France and Italy, and gone to catering college.
I don't know anything about Jamie Oliver so I'll go with Gordon Ramsey. I really enjoyed the British version of Kitchen Nightmares. (The US version seems watered down). At first I thought Ramsey was an a-hole. But then I realized that there is a very good person behind all the bravado.
I like comfort food and the ideas Jamie Oliver brings. He also seems quiet comforting to watch on TV shows. I have actually read many of his books and also gone to his restaurant.
However, I don'g get this warmth with Gordon Ramsay. But I haven't read much of his work and haven't visited his restaurant. Maybe I'll do this ha. But I can tell you my partner is a Chef and he doesn't like Gordon and really likes Jamies food.
Someone needs to buy Jamie some plates... the poor guy is eating off of planks of wood... probably why he speaks so funny, got splinters in his tongue...
Gordon Ramsey I do like, but not on the US shows where everything is dramatised... he doesn't need extra drama and shock...
Gordon. I love his 'go fuck your self' attitude 😂 But at the same time, watching him on Masterchef shows he has a different side to him, one that's more serious and less sweary. I just think he's amazing and I really dislike Jamie. I feel like he's played off being the poor innocent victim of bullying with Gordon to get sympathy when he's been just as crass in return.
Neither of them as most television chefs are so full of shit that their eyes are brown and most of them can not even boil water.
One of the biggest television chefs named "Wolfgang Fuck" is one of the biggest liars and scam artists as most of the people who purchased his bake ware and cook ware said it was poor quality and not worth the space it took up. Fuck him!!!
What no Nigella?
Is that the lady who did the bunny boiler? Thalia Zucchi?

@RolandCuthbert no she's just a tv cook. She looks well for a woman in her 50's. There's kind of a running joke about her being seductive and sexual when she talks about food.
I like them both, because jamie likes to say "oooh smells sooo good" and conpliment the food he makes which is funny. I like hearing gordon ramsay curse because it calms me down for some fked up reason.
Gordon Ramsay with his unfiltered criticism and intense passion for creating delicious food. There's something about him that is sexy. lol a man who can cook is sexy hands down.
◽ Jamie is a show off kid.
◽ Gordon built his success with hard work from 0. he went for his dream and turned out to be really successful in it, while Jamie was a naked guy on the tv 📺
Gordon. He's done wonders for my risotto game. Shits on point.
He's not always as crass and savage as we see on shows like hells kitchen. Like om the f word, he's pretty normal and not a huge asshole. I also like his recipes.
He's only an asshole on Hell's Kitchen. I love Gordon Ramsey in the kid show he does because he's much nicer and actually helps them out. His recipes are really good if executed well
Without a doubt Jamie, simply because he doesn't use, and has no need to use such filthy disgusting language like Ramsay.
For entertainment value Gordon, not that I don't watch Jamie's shows now and then - but he markets his shows to be for the 'common folk' but seems to lack an understanding of costing that is required for that kind of show.
Sorry, not familiar with either one.
Frankly, while I think the cooking-show fad has some entertainment value, so much of it is so staged and fabricated as to be a total sham.
Gordon Ramsay because he swears a lot and he's funny as fuck
i'd have to go with gordon ramsey simply because i've never seen jamie oliver
I have never heard about these two chefs, so I can't really say.
Never heard of the first guy, and I don't watch cooking shows.
I've only heard of Gordon Ramsay, so I'll go with him.
