Generally I like a slightly buttery chardonnay with a bit of oak to it. But I also love a good Sancerre. There is an Italian grape called "Grillo" and another called "Vernacchia" that are also great. There are a lot of Spanish whites too, and Portuguese, that are worth investigating.

A Chardonnay is really good. White sparkling wine is also pretty good.

For many years, I've been enjoying aged or vintage Chardonnays. Recently, I've been taking a liking to Viognier. Non-aged Viognier varieties have crisp, fruity flavors that appeal to my taste buds. I actually drink red wine more often than white wine. I'm more into Zinfandels. However, I will try highly-recommended Chardonnays. I "stumbled upon" Viognier by myself only a year ago. No regrets.
Meanwhile, I posted these years ago and found some opinions to be quite helpful:
1. Ladies, please help me choose the type of white wine. What would you suggest?
2. Ladies, please help me choose the type of red wine. What would you suggest?I'm not much of a white wine connoisseur. I never order white wines. They're okay, but I prefer reds.
My wife and I used to go to a particular wine tasting event twice a year and some of the whites were quite good. We use to buy a few bottles because my wife likes them more than I do and because, when they are chilled, they can be really refreshing on a warm day.
I guess Sauvignon Blancs can be quite tasty. A high quality Chardonnay can be great. I like Pinot Grigio and Semillon. I don't like Rieslings or Gewürztraminers, although I've had some late harvest Rieslings that were fantastic. I can't think of any others, but you mentioned blends. A great blend can better than a pure varietal. I'll bet some white blends are amazing.Cool loves2learn! I’m not much of a drinker but I personally love the Martinelli’s line of sparkling fruit juices. Delicious 😋 Nonalcoholic though but it’s not like juice for grade school children, they do have very crisp and sophisticated flavors.
I normally prefer red but I do like a glass or two of white occasionally. I like a nice Gewürztraminer (particularly from Alsace), dry riesling or viognier. I used to love New Zealand sauvignon blanc but drank so much of it that I eventually got sick of it and can't really drink it any more. I've had white rioja a few times which can be pretty interesting and makes a nice change as does Albariño. I recently had a New Zealand blend of Gewürztraminer, riesling and pinot gris which was delicious.
As far as French wines go, Montrachet- a famous white Burgundy, is my fave for a rich oakier wine, Sancerre & some New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs (Cloudy Bay) are my favorites. Napa makes some great whites like Grgich Hills. As far as Sparkling wine goets, the French have a lock on them with Pol Roger, Billecart Salmon
I don’t know enough about wine to answer but I like Jackson Triggs ice wine, it’s comes from a vineyard around 1-2 hours from my house.
Not much into wine, and i enjoy red wine over white. More of a beer guy
Dry Chardonnay is the only white I like. I'm mostly into Merlot, Cabernet, and Barbera. Syrahs is an okay red.
Smirnoff Grape wine cooler.
I do not like the taste of wine.Sauternes or icewine
I want to get a bottle of demi-sec champagne and I have sampled a moderate quantity of regular champagne from the bottle of Dom Perignon that I don't remember from my 17th birthday to G. H. Mumm which is a decent dropI like the kind that tastes like water and is water.
Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling. Boring right? I usually prefer reds. 🍷
Viognier is my favorite white, but isn’t ubiquitous in my area of the country. So I go with a Sav. Blanc.
Sauvignon Blanc. Most of which are totally dry. If I'm in the mood for a semi-sweet white wine, then probably Johannesburg Resiling.
We really like Barefoot Riesling
AboutNot big on white wine but i did remember liking White Zinfedel a lot
When i quit drinking i went from liq/beer to wine for awhile & i bought random red & white at Bevmo after my graveyard shift. So i can't say a favorite but i did like white cause i passed out quicker.
I like Riesling Eiswein [frozen grape harvest] to fish or duck meat. However we don't drink much wine, it's just a gimmick for classy dinner with decoration and candles.
Viognier or pinot grigio. I'm personally not a Chardonnay fan.
I mostly do not care if it is local, I generally like Riesling/Sauvignon.
