Yes, I use them usually in the three finger standard grip, but on occasion I will use a variant grip, which interestingly enough isn't featured in this article on multiple grip options.I had always thought it a natural way to hold chopsticks, and in my mind, I consider it a more "formal and fancy" option.
The "standard" way leaves ring and pinky free:My "formal" style incorporates the ring and pinky:

I learned when I was around 16 or so years old. Friends and I started to going to a wonderful local Chinese restaurant. My friends taught me. It's easy.
Eating certain things with chop sticks is actually more convenient than stabbing with a fork. I usually don't use chopsticks for rice, though, unless it's sticky rice.
I love Asian food - Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Japanese - and much prefer to eat it with chopsticks. But forks and spoons sometimes come in handy for certain dishes.
I've always wanted to learn to eat with chopsticks and so does my family. We order sushi sometimes with chopsticks but I'm so bad at it I give up and eat with a fork. I'd never let anyone else other than my family see me do that though because that would be so embarrassing lol.
Indeed I do! Sushi is my favorite cuisine and I wouldn't be caught dead eating it with a fork.

I can pick up and eat food with chopsticks. Let's... just leave it at that.
Yeah I do, travelled to China a lot with business and itβs a normal thing,
also had learned before then, as I do go to plenty Chinese restaurants and itβs nice to be able to use them.I only learned how to use them when I once went to a Chinese restaurant. I basically said if I can't use chopsticks to pick up this food I will not eat.
When I ate sushi when I was little, I couldn't use Chopsticks and instead of using it, I was dipping Chopsticks right in the middle, but now I can use it.
I don't, but it's never been a problem for me because I don't eat Chinese food.
I learned- but of course- I'd rather use a spoon and/or fork.
Learned on a vacation at a Chinese luau in Hawaii (way back around 1969 or so). The tour guide was "showing" everyone how to do use them, and he was probably the worst at actually using them!If I had to use them to eat I would starve. I suck at using chopsticks.
Never tried. I mostly prefer American food. But if I eat any Asian style chicken, its often served on a toothpick
I can use them! It's one of those things that you practice until you suddenly figure it out and then it becomes very easy. I can eat anything with chopsticks.
Nope, Iβve tried several times, but Iβve never been able to get the hang of it.
No I don't but I really never had a interest in using them either though
Yep. When I lived in China I only used chopsticks for a year.
Yes I leant it from Youtube. It's really easy. I learnt it in like under 2 mins. I became pro at once lol. I can eat everything with chopsticks and I love using them too as you can handle food properly with it compared to forks. at least for me.
I suck at using chopsticks!
I'd love to learn how to use them tho!No I'm ashamed, I eat Asian food a lot and I've been to Thailand and cambodia several times... ill learn before the end of the year
I've been in Korea for about a year, and I still don't know how to use chopsticks 😬
Yeah I do. Not very well but I can get away with it if I have to use them.
Nah I could learn never found importance to learn so I jus use a fork
In Chinese culture, you learn chopsticks starting at age 2, and become fluent by age 5.
I know the theory; just can't get it to work in the practical sense. I am a bit of a klutz; so I just stick with western utensils.
