Is it tough to grill food? And would you recommend an electric or charcoal grill? (Page 2)

I’ve always been tempted to get a grill and give it a try. Watchin dudes play sports is hot, but watchin a dude grill is even hotter... literally! I’m watchin my Next Level Chef show and holy smokes seeing this dude grill 😍 And his meat was huge af! But until i have a dude grilling for me, I’ll just try myself. I really want to try to do a bigass steak or pork chops or ribsss... Or would that be better on a smoker? Heck if i know. We have an indoor grill that we do burgers and hot dogs on but that doesn’t even compare  #FeelFreeToList

It’s kinda tough to grill food because you can’t forget about it. It’ll be a waste of money if that happens. I recommend an electric grill because whenever I watched my dad grill food smoke would sometimes get in my eyes

I just have one of those small indoor electric grills, so it's pretty easy to use.

It’s not hard. Charcoal 100%. Electric ones doesn’t give that grilled flavor, you could just as well cook it on the stove or in the oven at that point.

I am a charcoal person myself, I find it more forgiving and I like the taste although everyone has their preference. Ideally a campfire trumps it all.

C. I don't know how to grill and have no interest in taking it on. My husband does the grilling and refuses to use anything other than charcoal or wood.

I have a propane grill. Never had anyone show me. Just watched a few YouTube videos. You will get the hang of it.

Get a charcoal grill. Gas grills are about as good as grilling in your indoor oven and taste just the same.

I love grilling and till now I've preferred to use a charcoal grill when i can on vacations.
At home however i can't do that in an apartment so i use a tabletop one that goes over the stove and uses the flame to grill.

Steak is better on a charcoal grill. Some things are better on a gas grill. But I think the charcoal one is better, because it gives you a better taste. I usually cook on the charcoal one.

We grill out about three times a week. I use a gas grill. Never used an electric one.. And i dislike char coal.. The wife loves it.. so i can't complain.

Love it and it's easy  Personally I prefer wood, gives better flavour but gets very hot so I use an oil drum to keep things bearable

Grilling it takes a little learning in regards to temperature and timing. Also charcoal always charcoal.

Gas grill is the best to me and easier but charcoal is good too but more to clean up but it does cook good once you have it at the best temperature which takes awhile, I’m pretty good on a grill

Charcoal is good but gas is easier and doesn't take as much preparation. As with most cooking, it is about getting the temperature right.

It's not hard, but depends of what you're cooking. Charcoal is great for meat and smoking veggies. Electric is great for heat roasting veggies and grill frying

Charcoal gives more flavor, and you can put wet wood chips on it to add a little smoke if you like.
