If I made pasta for lunch and eat it tomorrow afternoon or evening, would it go bad by then?

My dad says the pasta should be consumed within 14 hours cause it does not have preservatives and might go bad if I wait until tomorrow. I've lost my appetite and thought I could do light fruits for dinner or a bowl of quakers oatmeal instead of an actual dinner today.
