So I’m trying to stick to this healthy eating routine. Today i tried oatmeal. This is only my second time trying it this year, and its still a HELL no for me. It always smells good but the taste and texture is just so icky. It reminds me of the flakes you spit up after throwing up 🤣 Back in preschool, I LOVED green beans, black eyed peas, oatmeal, milk and hot chocolate. Couldn't stand them after preschool. I don't know what happened with most of those things but I recall puking up milk and never touched it since. And as for hot chocolate, the ring it left in the cup as you drank it always made me lose my appetite. (And no I’m not lactose intolerant.) Now I’m trying mixed nuts. As a kid I liked walnuts and pecans but cannot handle them now. They’re dry af! And I always hated peanuts. I just tried a cashew and surprisingly I like it. I then tried a hazelnut and almond. They are fckin disgusting I can't! And now my stomach hurts from trying all these nuts at once. #FeelFreeToList
I feel you, healthy eating is tough sometimes! Oatmeal is definitely gross, it's like eating wallpaper paste. I don't even know how people actually like that stuff. And nuts can be hit or miss too depending on the type. I'm the same way with peanuts and hazelnuts, blech! But cashews are usually pretty good. Props to you for at least trying to mix it up and stick to something better for you, even if the nuts didn't work out. Pizza is hard to pass up though, I probably woulda caved for that too! Don't be too hard on yourself, Rome wasn't built in a day. As long as you're mostly making healthier choices you're still doing better than just eating junk 24/7. Baby steps, luv. Maybe baked salmon and veggies is more your speed anyway - gotta find what works for you. Keep at it!

For years at a time I could only have ensure, boost shakes, mainly through feeding tube, but I’ve been trying the new flavors recently and it helps with calorie intake since it’s “meal replacement” they have Cinnabon Boost shakes now and they’re pretty good lol, I try to avoid the added sugar ones but every once in awhile if i don’t feel like cooking I just have a shake :)
I made some bomb ass oatmeal at school yesterday! For someone who cannot cook I was impressed myself. But I get it. I hate oats too.
I love all nuts 🥴 except walnuts and macadamias macadamias are nasty.
I’m having millet and onions today. I don’t even like millet but in theme with trying new things.
Ugh yeah, I stopped liking oatmeal because of the texture. Growing up milk was disgusting to me. The smell, the taste... now I can have a small cup of it fresh, like right after it's opened. After that I'm done with it lol everyone else can finish it. Kinda weird but hey, haha

I feel that.. I hate Oatmeal because of the texture as well.. Always reminded me of throw up.. Same reason I hate grits.. I remember as a kid I was forced to eat the rest of the Oatmeal to go to Chucky Cheese, and I almost threw up while being forced feed it.. 😭.. But nah I have the past.. Like tuna, and scrambled eggs.. But not recently..

I still haven't tried anything repulsive. Probably won't.
Well the only thing that immediately comes to mind is Bitter gourd, never liked the taste neither as a vegetable nor as a juice but I am trying it this year as it is good for the blood.
Oh and something that is not healthy but I am trying to eat this year is women.I like normal coffee but the African coffee beans I got do not taste good at all. I have to mix it with milk or soy or creme or it becomes too acidic for me and I become nauseous. I used to use honey as an alternative to dairy, but the honey was giving me teeth pain so I’m back to sugar free creme.
I use to like oatmeal but had to eat it everyday to boost my breastmilk supply. Now I'm disgusted by it. I do add oats into banana bread and that makes it not as bad
Egg nog.
I've never wanted to taste anything called "nog". Finally gave it a try.
There were a lot of them some years ago but now I've tried about everything except some sushi fish.

LMFAO! I 100% feel you on this Diz! I can't STAND food that resembles vomit in texture! lol!
Earlier in the year was healthy yogurt as an alternative in between snack, gave that up after a couple months 😆
I don't really try anything new cause I'm a picky ass eater ~ but I've been trying to eat a lot more vegetables with meals as of this past year which has been pretty impactful overall
Sweet potatoes. I think it’s the texture but if you put brown sugar on it, seems okay to me. Probably not healthy but meh
I’ve always thought celery was gross but I got drunk one night and tried celery with ranch 😂 I’ve been missing out this whole time
Somewhat oddly, I’ve been coming around to mustard, and pickles.
Oddly enough sour cream I always thought it would be sour but it's actually pretty good I've been using it on tacos
I don't like collards, but if you mess with them enough, they're almost tolerable.
Green beans. I've tried tripe and liver ( never again).
What else? 🤔🤔
I tried some kind of sandwich cake. Probably not gonna eat it again.Ranch, seafood, mustard, still don't like ranch or mustard but I'm coming around to seafood
