The Pix I Have Here is Miss Delicious, One of at Least Five I see who Is a Bit Heavy, On The Cooking Network. Their Cooking is Fabulous!!! xxoo
I can recommend looking up Dr Joel wallach on youtube in all kinds of health aspects, including what he has to say about obesity and mainly he says its a multiple nutrient deficiency that leading the way for obesity along with energy in/energy out. And There is also a disorder in the animal Kingdom called Pica that has a similar ways in humans. Ever wondered Why some pregnant women for example start craving to eat soil, chalk or even worms? Look it up. Pica reminds of the overeating behavior in humans. The soils where our crops grow and the food we eat is extremely depleted of essential nutrients. besides that Insulin resistance and diabetes has somewhat a clear association to Chromium & vanadium deficiency.. people with diabetes have been able to lower their blood sugar by taking these 2 trace elements ( minerals)
Thyroid problems among other illnesses that is very common is also Associated with weight fluctuations. Some obese-looking people actually do not suffer from obesity, but from a medical term called lipedema wich is almost impossible to get rid of and can be easily mistaken for obesity. I have obesity and have always been overweight since early childhood in connection to when i got my spondyloptosis. And after surgery i am prohibited to work out. only form of training im allowed to is walking or swimming at a slower pace wich honestly hasn’t helped anything. Then later on docs found something with my Thyroid that According to them could explain my difficultness to lose weight further. The Thyroid is also connected to minerals, selenium and iodine. Selenium in particular is a powerhouse. Linus pauling along with dr wallach claim that nearly all diseases can be traced back to a mineral deficiency. Calcium deficiency for example is connected to 200 diseases on its own. Etc. But it doesn’t matter how much minerals we take, if our body’s ph isn’t accurate due to Gut issues and possible gluten intolerance, and if we take the wrong form and dosage of the nutrients and so much more. Let’s not forget also that There exist people out here who doesn’t matter what or how much they eat they can’t gain weight and instead they are struggling with underweight. Wich is connected to a speeded metabolism and thyroid as well. Science Will have a further breakthrough one day.
Guy F had heart issues. You can usually look at what they are cooking/eating and know whether they are going to have health issues. If it's super fatty, high calorie, and high sodium then it's happening. Southern cooking shows are guaranteed. I feel a heart attack coming on just eating in a place like Louisiana for a month or more. Couldn't find a salad to save my life.
The real question would be if someone like Mark Weins does. He's thin, but he over eats a ton of unhealthy food. If he eats mostly healthy at home and exercises a ton he might be fine.
Probably. One of the girls I worked with at my last job in quality control was overweight. Eating the product samples for taste testing didn’t help. That’s probably why she was always saying “This stuff is nasty.” She had trouble breathing with shortness of breath.
She’d refuse to join my boss who was in good shape for hikes on the weekends-“Oh, that’s alright.”
On the other hand, some of them have exquisite taste. I got this from a bakery shop run by overweight and obese women:

Holy crap, best cookie I’ve ever had.
It’s possible to be fairly healthy, self-esteem is an amazing thing. But it’s far better for joints, mobility, energy levels, heart function, a whole slew of benefits to be within your BMI.
Aneorexia or bulemia comes with health problems as well. I’d rather women, and men for that matter, be active (if they’re able) and diet appropriately than starve themselves risking low energy levels. It is also quite possible to control weight for your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and get the nutrients you need without much exercise.

Anyone can have health issues & judging a book by its cover always happens however you can be bigger & also be as healthy as a horse as they say.
I don't think you can be the size of the woman in the pic and be healthy as a horse.. Not all skinny people are healthy, but their more likely to be healthier than an an overweight person..
@Joshydavid25 you are totally correct

i would say they have some issues. though i cannot say which. Most people who are phenomenal cooks are a bit heavy. There are exceptions to the rule.. But there is an old saying "Never trust a skinny chef" The reasons for that is, as you're cooking you taste.. adjust seasonings, and taste again and so on. Skinny cooks dont really do that.. Again there are exceptions to the rule. Like Gordon Ramsey.. I know for a fact he tastes while he cooks, but im not entirely sure he is human considering how skinny the man is lol.
As i said, there are exceptions to the rule.
You obviously haven't seen Gordon Ramsey in a while then.
Probably not lol
He's in his second trimester I think
No I don't wonder. I know they do. It's merely a matter of if they manifest in a way that they accept as attributable to their weight. Their joints are carrying too much weight, their heart is having to work harder than it should. Every fat girl out there is like "I'm big but I'm still in great shape." No. Only if you're in the gravity of the moon.
And that's coming from someone who was fat as a kid, and I did the same dumb shite.
Yeah, because being overweight comes with many health issues. And of course the others who aren't overweight can also have health issues due to their diet.
Food Is their life. It is no surprise that they are mostly too heavy for their own good. Also being a chef is not very conducive to physical exercise. They work long hours with no physical exercise
We are on our feet all day running around. We have poor sleep, diets etc.
@butterly248 yes, working late hours mostly
Yeah
i'm pretty sure anyone who is heavy has health issues or is going to get health issues if they continue like that. i hope i don't come off as rude, but it's just what i've seen!
I Agree!!! xx
Not really…their health is not my business.
Plus the woman in your example pic isn’t even that big…like I would get it if she was obese but you can be a bit bigger and still be healthy lol.
Not really. she's not that big, bro 😭
If, for example, they are showing "diet foods" and continue to be overweight, (barring any stated genetic predisposition, etc.) , I ignore their input.
I don't watch them and yes, if they are cooking that much, they are getting fat and it's not good.
That never really cross my mind, but now I’m thinking if they might have diabetes. I sorta associate overweight with diabetics.
even the people who look in good shape can have health issues... and serious ones too
I know I've had some issues, lol... from other bad habits, rather than being overweight
The only chefs I really see in the mainstream are thin 🙃 like Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay
unless 'rude' is a person or some kind of noun in this context, that was a grammatically absurd statement - also how is rudeness tied to a person's weight, I don't get you
Kevin Belton is one of my all time favorite New Orleans chefs, and his is as big as an RV, but good grief the guy can COOK!
I always think that they probably do.. Looking at the food they are eating and the fact that their career revolves around food.. LOL..
Never trust a chef who is either very skinny or obese. Simple rule for survival.
Only when they're eating sucrose, high fructose corn syrup, refined grains, preserved meats, anything from a cow (growth hormones), xenoestrogens (if the host has a male body), seafood (due to water pollution), alcohol or high amounts of antinutrients.
Also inflammatory oils.
They got that way from eating at Denny’s every night, but they don’t have health issues because they’re too young
No, lol. A. gpod chef always tastes their own food!
Lucky u lol
There's a couple of shows where they are really unhealthy
Diners drive ins and dives
Man vs Food
And you try to max your food intake
I am not sure I would trust a skinny chef…. lol
Most likely they do, regardless of what the deranged body positivity people say.
I don’t bother wondering if chubby chefs have health issues. I simply assume that they do.
... obesity is a medical issue on its own
I sometimes have that thought.
I hope that works for you but please be careful!
Given that the
Given that the most common diet is based on carbohydrates, I would say diabeted might be rampant among those people. (*)
diabetes*
@CalmUntilAbused Np. You Probably Hav5e It Right. xx
Weight-related health issues, yes.
The thought has never entered my mind.
Yes they can’t stop eating.
Most likely have diabetes
I know I wouldn’t be able to resist since I love to eat also but luckily I’m very active
I do wonder, it's not soyi think too long on tho.
Not my best work, for sure.
I'm sure they do
Yes they do. It's double standard.
trust me good chefs aren't skinny
