When you go to a restaurant and order tea to drink with your food, how often do you get iced tea?

I just don't understand why I HAVE to say, "hot tea" to get regular tea, but I can say, "tea" and get iced tea! If I WANTED iced tea, I would've ASKED for iced tea!! If I order orange juice, they don't automatically bring me a glass of beer!!
It's like that Monty Python skit where, if I want to buy a mattress I have to ask for the dog kennels!

if i'm at a restaurant, i just get water. not paying for a drink when i'm already paying for food. just how i think lol

but i do drink a lot of tea and yes i like iced tea. it's most common for restaurants to serve iced tea just like they serve soda with ice, unless you are at an Asian restaurant they normally have the hot tea option. no reason to really yell about it. it's very common in america that when you ask for tea, you're going to get iced tea

Some people drink iced coffee but, when you ask for coffee, you GET COFFEE, NOT ICED coffee!
and, how often do people drink iced tea with pancakes and eggs? Especially when it's early in the morning!

It's not on that level. At least it's a form of tea. That would be asking for tea and getting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
