Hello GaGers :) Hopefully some of you are aware of my last MyTake where I talked about self expression and how I was inspired to write that by my VSCO
I am an artist; and more or less, so is everyone. We are creating happiness and a life we want to obtain happiness from.
Something I realized that I kept doing was comparing my pictures to my classmates'; but these past couple of days, I did something any true artist would do. I decided I would "Aspire to be my own aesthetic".
What exactly does that mean? Well, sure, I am inspired by the photographs that I see. Today, people are inspired by celebrities, social media, the people around us; just anything and everything that passes our lives will change us even if we aren't aware.
Think of yourself as a clear paint. Anything that passes you no matter how big or small will change you. That's okay. But I think it's important to be resilient to bending and shaping yourself to everything that your influences portrays. Why not make yourself the true inspiration and the true artist?
We have to accept that some people will have similar features as us, and we may too. But no one will add up exactly like you. You are your own person, so embrace your own aesthetic. ( This is my VSCO)
Just because someone has a picture perfect/ desirable life, it doesn't mean that your life isn't beautiful. Learn to accept that there is beauty around you; and you are beautiful too.
Don't be jealous of anyone else's success. Hell, I even compliment people when I admire them (as childish as it sounds, lots of people just get jealous and say nothing). How can you expect someone to admire your beauty too?
Speaking of admiring beauty, DO NOT FOCUS ON IT! See a celeb on insta? Okay well like their picture and get on WITH YOUR OWN LIFE! Also don't let social media take over you! Okay, you can be inspired by their lifestyle but you have your own life to create that. Never go admiring someone else's life and forget about the beauty you have to create. Why look at an artist who is painting while you could probably be making and more beautiful painting that you can call your own?
Be a little more self centred (but just the right amount) that allows you to be able to admire yourself and know that you are amazing! It kind of helps me to think that I'm at times more important than others. But that's only to make myself centre my life around me, and what's important to me and making me happy. Don't get carried away, but it's nice to know you're amazing, and you are always improving ;) Stay Humble, and Aspire to be your own aesthetic
