I am woman! I am the prize!

You look different today than when you were younger. On each dating app you have filtered your face, refreshed your breasts, and retouched every photo you possibly could in the patriarchal standards that society has forced upon you. There is that feeling of vulnerability. The depression that comes from an unattainability of beauty behind magazines of women who don't exist.

But you are an order woman. You are the prize.

Age comes to us all in receding years and we think that with the father of time beauty is taken away. But what is more beauty the finding it within yourself? What is more beautiful that unlocking the power of what it means to be a woman and the power that brings?

In your teen years it is boy crazy. Everything was about getting a boy. In your 20s it was man crazy. Everything was about keeping a man. But in the span of your life where do you fit in? When do you come to realize? I am Woman. I am the prize.

The great feminist philosopher Simone de Beauvior once said, "One is not born, but rather, becomes a woman."

Perhaps in our late twenties as we rich the age of thirty we finally discover the meaning behind that. A woman has given birth to virtually every human being that has ever existed. The ones we will remember and the ones we never forget. The genius and the ordinary. We have in our generation been mothers and fathers. A generation of fathers gone, destitute, languishing in prison-running away. We saved these children. Taught them what hard work was. Gave them our spirit. Our harshness. Our nurturing and supple breasts as you were starved for life. And each time you cried in fear-we taught you that it was okay to cry.

We birthed you. We raised you. Because we are the prize.

When men go to war and face the terror it brings. In their last dying moments in the mysterious dark and light of the great abyss. Every man cries out to us seeking our warmth and forgiving grace. They shout our names in those last moments as the world ends around them. I am woman. I am the prize.

And as we grow old and come into our middle age. We unlock the beauty that is more than just a splash of titties and a bubble butt at the bar. There is a humor to the soul, a kindness in our eyes, a passion and a spirit in our touch. We have seen life. We know its youth and its age. We know its joy and its heart ache. In short, as we grow older...we know LOVE.

Tell yourself not to fear. Take down your walls that you have built up. Show to that next love (or the one you have) your adoration, your nurturing grace, and that energetic charm that you have deep inside. Realize in such vulnerability, in joy and in pain...

I AM WOMAN. I AM THE PRIZE.
