If you are "loosing" interest in a person you're actually showing an incredible amount (letting loose) of interest in them.
If you are "losing" interest in a person you're showing a declining amount of interest in them.

Maybe don't text her for a while and see if she contacts you to see if something's wrong. Ad least that would be her first initiative text.
how long you know her for? he might just play hard to get. personally me, on first stages of dating man should text first till i am sure 80% that he is into me.. otherwise i won't.. she might not be shy after all.. believe me like you guys we are.. if we really interested-she will text you.. no doubt!. she is testing you.. i do same!
I'm a bit shy and yes I would initiate texts with a guy if like him. Perhaps at the start i'd be hesitant and will wait for him but then after a while I'd initiate texts to make him know that I enjoy talking talking to him and as a sign of showing him I'm interested.

Once I am comfortable with the guy, I will initiate the texts and conversations because I hate the idea of the boy making all the effort. It should be reciprocated if she likes you back, even though she's shy.
A shy girl is most likely to initiate a text once she feels confident you won't reject her.
