Can a girl eventually like you after she rejects you?

I confessed to this girl and first she said thank you, then after said she wasn't expecting this at all and kept asking if I was joking with her. She rejected me politely, but she said she was still getting to know me. If she ever talks to me again as friends and gets to know me more, could she possibly develop feelings for me in the future?

Yea, for sure. Sounds exactly like what happened to me.

I had been hanging with a former classmate from high school, as just friends. We got along great and saw each other almost day. I could tell he was into me, but was kind of caught off guard when he asked me out after just over a month. I declined it as nicely as I could as I still wanted to spend time with him, though was not yet ready for someone new after my previous ex.

About 2-3 months after I turned him down and we continued hanging out, I realized I did have feelings for him after all and asked him out. He accepted, and we're together ever since so never say never. :)

It's possible but it can be utopian thing too. Just depends on the girl I think.
Some girls need time to develop feelings. Some girls like playing games. Some girls can be direct, if they say no, that is no.
I say, you can give a shot, if you know she needs some time.

Definitely. I had a guy ask me out and I told him sorry but he was officially in the friendzone, then about a month later after we hung out almost every day he asked again and I said yes.
