Why do girls tell me to smile more?

I'm an introvert. I don't smile much. I'm not angry or anything and I'm not dangerous. I'm just a serious person. What I find annoying is when women tell me to smile more. I'm not angry or posturing. Why is this such an offense to women? I'm not hurting anyone. Why can't they mind their own business?

I tell people to smile because I just want to see them happy, and plus smiles are cute!! And i used to be an introvert myself but that never stopped me from smiling. I'm serious from time to time, but often goofy. But if I'm feeling down on some days and someone tells me to smile, I just crack a little smile and then go back to -_-

You have answered your own question which is obvious ''I don't smile much'' when you don't smile much when you're talking to people, or even smiling with the eyes with a friendly expression, you'd come off as an arrogant douchebag. Sorry but it's true.

It's not offensive at all. People like to see other people smile. Also, if these women have seen your smile before, they probably think it looks nice. It makes you look more attractive.

The real reason I don't smile much is better my teeth are messed up. I did when I had a pretty smile.

You don't have to be a chatterbox, but smiling every once in a whole won't hurt. It makes you unapproachable just sitting there stone faced. Not saying you should change for the world because I personally don't care. Just letting you know how you're perceived, off-putting, creepy, intense, unapproachable.
