Girlfriend rarely texts me anymore. What should I do?

My girlfriend of eight months rarely texts me anymore. I guess we're past the honeymoon phase. When we're together in person we can talk without any problem but when we're apart she doesn't really contact me anymore. It's like she doesn't pay attention to me anymore. I almost always am the one who takes the initiative to start a conversation now. I don't feel wanted and appreciated. I feel tired because it seems like she rarely makes an effort to talk to me now. I feel like she doesn't care about me.

What should I do? Should I give her the cold shoulder too?

You should ask her why she doesn't text you much or initiate text conversations that often anymore.
Giving her the cold shoulder would accomplish nothing but giving her reason to be upset with you seeing as how she's probably completely unaware that her texting habits have changed so much, or that you'd even notice something like that.

I asked her once but she said that everything's fine. I think she doesn't even know that her texting habits have changed. Is she losing interest in me :( I feel like I've been taken for granted. I always text her out of the blue just to check on her day but she doesn't do the same anymore :( I even feel like breaking up with her but I think it's not worth losing her :(

Tell her that you'd appreciate if she texted you once in a while. It doesn't mean that she's losing interest in you...

Dude you just said she talks to you more when y'all hang out. That's how my boyfriend he barely talks on the phone but in person he can talk for days. If it really bothers you talk to her 1. She may not notice or 2. She's tired of talking on the phone.
