Why do girls ghost?

The term ghosts is when a guy or a girl would suddenly stop all Communications with you for absolutely no reason. It doesn't matter if you had an amazing time with them and that the spark was definitely there. They would literally fall off the face of the Earth as if they just died or never existed at all like a ghost hence the name. A girl did this to me about 5 months ago and I'm just wondering now why girls or people in general do this? We had an amazing date and we kissed all the time. We had such a connection and chemistry but then all the sudden she just stopped all form of communication with me. Why? I felt disrespected do not even deserve an explanation. I guess I'm just trying to decipher this Modern dating psychology. Which is a disaster if you ask me

Ghosting is one of the most immature things to do in general.

As you said, one at least deserves an explanation about why things won't work out instead of just disappearing. Lots of people are cowards and allegedly "don't know what to say" in such a situation , which I find totally unbelievable, it's just a lazy pretext in my eyes.

Girls ghost especially often because they are afraid of how you will react if they tell you that it won't work out between you.

Got caught up in the heat of the moment when you had a date and everything went great but afterwards lost interest. That can happen with some girls. Some girls like a lot of guys are criticized off are also scared of commitment. They might give you a lot at the start when things are exciting and they're just going with the flow but if they later start to feel that you're more dedicated to a relationship than they are they might back away.

Same happened to me a few times, so I can tell you it's not just girls who do this.

I personally would never do it, if I don't like the guy I would explain him why and wish him good luck in the future.

People ghost when they're no longer interested but don't want the drama that could go with an explanation. People also ghost when the reason they quit you might hurt you more than the ghosting.
