Its sad but its true. Women are drawn to power and status. It's not a malevolent thing really (not a 'I'm waiting for the next better thing to come along then I'm leaving this douche') but rather a basic need for security to satisfy the female's nesting/mothering instincts. A guy who is wealthy, has his own company, etc etc can give her the safety and security she needs to satisfy that instinct. She feels more comfortable with them.
