We we dancing at a club and while dancing I put my hands on her ass. We've been dating for a year now, but the issue was she said, "you shouldn't be doing that to me in public." Anyway she kneed me in the nuts and I fell down on the floor, moaning and grabbing my crotch, turning red. My balls swelled up the next day, so she took me to the doctors and I have a bandage around them now because they're purple and blue.

Isn't this abuse? Should I leave my girlfriend? Or should I just accept this from her and move on?

I don't particularly like a guy to touch me like that in public, I think it's disrespectful, but I would, nor have I in similar situations, react that violently...I'm curious as to what her reaction was when you hit the floor...Further when she found out she caused a medical injury...? She sounds a bit young in the head to me...That type of force should only be used if you are protecting and defending yourself from harm...I bet she has done other equally immature things...think about it...You'll know how to respond then..No one deserves to be hit period! Leave. She doesn't have the right to do that (unless its self-defense, which it wasn't). And under NO circumstances should you "accept this from her"! It is abuse and I'm glad you thought of it that way - more people should. So anyways, yeah, leave her.

If she was opposed to your touching her backside in public that's fair enough, but needless to say, what she did in response was a complete overreaction - especially if it was a hard enough shot to cause significant medical injury. That's not defensible at all, and I would seriously consider if someone who behaves this way is someone that you want to be with.
