Why am I so affectionate when I'm drunk?

I'm naturally a affectionate person but I noticed when I'm drunk or tipsy I'm extra affectionate and friendly and hug everybody even people I don't really know. I'm more touchy feely to when usually all I would do is say hi to the person or wave if I see them when I'm sober. Why is that?
