Why is a girl that rejected me getting jealous?

She rejected me a couple times despite me trying my best and not giving up (really like her).
So, the problem is, she gets jealous when I talk to other girls, looks at me angrily when I talk by phone to someone, sometimes makes an ugly face when I look at her. She doesn't want to talk to me and doesn't answer simple questions, interacting only when it concerns work (where are colleagues). She never says hello (I do everytime) and unfriended me on social stuff like fb. Not attending a party because of me being there as well.
Last time she refused to answer simple questions in public, turning her back on me; people being puzzled at her behaviour.
Disgusted, I afterwards asked her in person, what was going and stuff like why can't she just be friendly like to other colleagues, I won't trouble her with my attention anymore. She replied that it is her choice whom to talk to and whom not and that's all. There was a satisfied smile on her face when she was saying it, which I must tell, hurt me for some reason.
Why is that taking place?

It's pretty to go out of your way to make someone jealous, but if you act with only considering your interest that's the way to go.

I wouldn't over read anything. She turned down something of value (you) and maybe bothers her that she lacks control over you. Whatever it is seems to be her issue. And it's better you aren't into her since she'd probably be a really insecure type

She may feel like you are on purpose trying to make her jealous and is acting in response to this. Also, you may be over analyzing her behavior and trying to look for only evidence to suggest she is jealous when she may in fact, not be. It sounds like she has made it very clear she does not like you.

She's saying "I'm not going to a party because he's going to go, too," and that's not being said in person, but to all the people nearby. Then suddenly she unfriends me on every social network there is. And I wasn't even doing anything, or saying anything to her apart from "hello". I basically did nothing to cause this.

Like I'm even trying to get her attention? I stay away as much as I can, just want to get rid of her already, but she keeps provoking me. I heard she might be feeling hurt by me, but wait, she kept rejecting me despite all the effort.

Completely ignore her, don't give her anymore of your time. she's playing mind games and being manipulative.

See and date other girls, the more the better, be talking to them when she's around and flirt with them, she'll soon get pissed off when she's not getting g your attention.

Well, it's not polite to completely ignore a person. It's a provocation, isn't it? I believe you should remain polite when working in a group of people, even if you've been having a disagreement with someone.

Yes keep saying hello to her and being polite. But forget about her. Don't try to talk to her besides work stuff and when you absolutely must. One those occasion be polite and smile as always.
Give more attention to other girls and don't care about her reaction.
You said you really liked her, but she is not into you and just wants your attention. You make her feel good. That is all she wants you for.

Women are weird like that. They can reject but can feel a little jealous if you find someone else to show attention to. Even more so if the woman is better looking. I went through this last year.
