Ignoring my follow request?

I recently met a really cool girl through my job. We're both college students and we frequently talk when we work together. About a week ago I decided to send her a follow request on Instagram. It's been pending ever since. (Her accounts private) I thought at first maybe she's just not that active on Insta but since my request I've noticed that more people are now following her including several of my coworkers. She's obviously seen my request but hasn't accepted or declined it. Am I missing something?

To make my intentions clear I am interested in her but only slightly. I sent the request as a friend and just wanted to see where things go. It's not a huge deal by any means but we still talk every time we work together and I'm just not sure what to make of it. Hoping for some input and or advice.

It's very strange, considering she chats with you, and has accepted other co-workers friend requests.

Mention it to her. Just say "did you receive my friend request notification on instagram? " Just to see what her response is.

Chances are it's nothing and asking random strangers online is likely to make things worse. If it really does bother you, talk to her face to face about it and see what she says
