My female co-worker keeps complimenting me. Is this a sign of attraction?

I asked for her number months ago, but she made an excuse not to give it to me right away. I gave her space and now she has slowly been initiating and seeking conversations with me. Lately my attractive female co-worker has been noticing little details and giving me compliments on things. It's almost on a weekly basis. Things such as my face mask, my ring and my ear piercing. Is this a sign of attraction? Should I compliment her back? I mostly notice this during the start of conversations.
