Why do you wear makeup and/or why do you think most girls do?

Please no vague answers like "I like it" or "for myself" or "I'm insecure"

I already know that's what a lot of girls are thinking and if this is truly the case, what exactly are the reasons why you like it?
or what does it do for you?
or how does it help your insecurity?
If all guys found it repulsive, you wouldn't keep wearing it would you?

I barely wear make up, but when I do , I do it to dress up and make it feel like a special occasion. It just feels good being dolled up sometimes and I feel like girls like that feeling of being dolled up more often than I do. I think make up is a pain in the ass. I have a couple friends that are awesome with make up and it’s a work of art. Takes great art skill to accomplish

Sometimes it helps complete an outfit like an accessory, other times I just put a little to look half presentable.


I don’t do it for other girls, more for selfies if anything and probably not for guys either considering the amount of dates I’ve been on bare faced.
