Does it mean anything when a cute girl tell you have a nice day or was she just being nice as an employee?

I was buying something at target and saw this really cute girl near the registers. Anyway she told me which register is open and then after buying my stuff she told me have a nice day. I mean she didn't have to say that. Was she just being nice as an employee or could it mean something else?

Employee etiquette. It is taught that you tell everyone customer to have a good day, good morning, good night, etc. It’s not required but it’s basic manners.

Yeah it just made my day better because im a loner and when someone says something like that to me it makes me happy especially since it was from a cute girl😁.

She is told to say that by her supervisors.

I don't know if applies to men but in any event just because YOU are not told that doesn't mean others are not.

I mean i guess since i work at a different chain. Might be more strict at target tho.
