Why does my friend always say others are jealous of her?

My friend seems to think many, if not all girls we are friends with are jealous of her, however she says she herself is “not a jealous person” even though she is also jealous of others. She also continually brags about herself and guys hitting on her, but whenever guys hit on her friends (including me) she downplays it. What would cause her to act like this?

Insecurity, she masking her insecurities about herself by projecting them on other people. If she is not the problem then that means everyone else is and it is easier to blame others for your short coming than it is to take a hard look at yourself and make changes.

Make her feel better to see flaws in other people then to admit to her own.
