Can I twerk? Yes. Do I consider it dancing? Not entirely. What do I consider it? Shaking ass and it is a booty isolation exercise hahaha. I guess it's debatable. I've been a dancer for many years doing and tried various types of dancing like ballroom, bachata, swing, tango, salsa, hip hop, ballet, belly dance... However people incorporate within dance routine. For example when I was dancing at the Playground LA they do it as part of Hip hop dance choreography but that's part of most of the choreography for hip hop dancing. They've got amazing dancers there but it's mostly focused on hip hop dance and twerking and they would consider that a dance not a grind.(not forgetting someone created a career out of twerking) Most of the gifs you've shown isn't twerking.

I think for some it's because they can do it and for others they won't because they find it trashy... like to joke around and do it in front of friends and family but I consider myself a classy dancer hahaha so it's not like I am just going to do it at the club for random men and get all types of attention. Men won't leave you alone when they know you can. Lol...

Seems like they were dancing. Yes I know I did. Like I would go crazy with female friend and do wall twerk etc hahaha or sometimes for my mum cause she is pretty conservative and thinks everything is trashy hahaha so to get on her nerves yeah 😅🤣😂 or my best friends are guys they would say that I had too much to drink (I am not that much of a drinker haha but if I do - rarely ) so she will start twerking and dancing at the parties and get too much attention and I end up stealing the show. So yeah to make them happy. Lol
